PRAY101 — Prayer and Intercession

The engine of everything God does through the church runs on prayer.

Course Purpose

• Every course in this curriculum touches prayer, but none makes it the subject. Prayer deserves its own course because it is not a supporting discipline — it is the primary one.
• Sozo's conviction that the Gospel changes the world now depends on this: that there are people who will pray until the change comes.
• This course forms students not just in the theory of prayer but in the actual practice — building habits, disciplines, and convictions that will sustain a lifetime of intercession.

Why This Course Matters

• A ministry that does not pray is running on its own resources, which will run out.
• The history of revival, missions, and genuine transformation in the church is inseparable from the history of prayer — the two are not parallels, they are cause and effect.
• Given Sozo's conviction that the Kingdom of God comes on earth as believers pray and act, a course on intercession is not optional — it is foundational to everything the college exists to produce.
